Course overview

"Swedish for Healthcare Professionals" is a digital 12-month course that corresponds to 20 hours of study per week, of which 10 hours are teacher-led lessons and the rest is self-study. The course takes you from beginner level (A1) to advanced level (C1), and after completing the course, you will speak fluent Swedish.

To apply for a Swedish license, the National Board of Health and Welfare (Socialstyrelsen) requires that you have language proficiency at the C1 level. This course helps you develop the language skills necessary to communicate effectively in your professional role and to pass the Swedish C1-level test.

The curriculum is designed according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) and includes six main courses: Swedish for healthcare professionals (A1-C1), introduction to the Swedish healthcare system, Swedish medical terminology, Swedish healthcare culture, Swedish legislative knowledge, and medical record keeping.

The course is tailored for healthcare professionals such as doctors, dentists, nurses, midwives, and other healthcare professions.
